My folks have a medical alarm that runs over the internet - all good. But when there is a power cut, they lose their internet, and it triggers the alarm at the monitoring center, therefore ends up with family getting "the call".

So I'm looking at getting my folks a basic UPS that the ONT, router, alarm and phone can sit on for at least 10mins so my folks can call us to say theres a powercut and not panic.

Due to the low power drag with these devices (in theory), I take it one of these would be suitable - https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/UPSPWR2555987/Eaton-5E-Tower-UPS--650VA--360W--2-ANZ-Outlets--Li

Or this there something else I could look at ?

TIA

I'd say that would be perfect for the ONT + Router + Med Alarm.

I guess the other option is a DC one like the Sentry (or whatever it was called).

I thought some of them actually had in internal battery backup....  Mum has one, but hers runs over cellular, and I believe has a battery.  It's run by ADT (and free as she's over 65)

The Constant Vigil is a bit more of a "geek solution" - separate battery etc, but by keeping everything DC it cuts out a whole lot of transformer losses....
