He doesn't hold back either. Just spends the first 3 or so minutes of their review just calling them out its glorious.

To me it comes across as an infantile temper tantrum and unprofessional.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Oh no! Being called out by LinusTechTips!

This is like that time the garbage man shouted at me because I hadn't quite closed my rubbish bag properly.

Fantastic video. If you didn't like it you probably don't watch LTT content regularly and would realise they are the first to commend companies who do a good job with new products.

It's clear Intel have their tail between their legs and are just doing everything possible to try to at least be on the podium. Like they say in the video, how many times can you re-hash the same old processor?!

The performance graphs were hilarious.. I wonder what the blurred out bars are for?

I assume this video was filmed before AMD's NDA had lifted.

Seems like a bit of an ignorant response..... Intel have been pulling this stuff for years and now that they're no longer on top and people are calling them it out on their anti competitive bs. About time. Imo.

This is the same company who paid Dell kickbacks worth 1 BILLION dollars to not use AMD.. Douchebaggery is their middle name.

Intel are greedy, selfish a-holes.

What a load... Fake rage.

"Avoid direct comparisons with competitors"?

That would be an argument only for whoever wanted to "break the news" and post a comparison at the same time. Obviously it's a fight for clicks/views - as in "Oh, if my review comes in two days time I won't have all that sweet advertising revenue that others will have before me".

Pathetic.

A corporation acting in their own best interests? This surely is new!  Thank fek Linus Tech Tips is here to save us!

(Maybe Intel are being idiots here, but some mumblebag on Youtube slobbering about it isn't the big deal you've made it out to be)

Of courses it's all about clicks/views. All of the Youtubers are in it for the advertising, but they still want to maintain a shred of dignity in their reviews. The 10980 would launch and be the "best performing CPU available" according to the reviews (which are on the internet forever), then three hours later Threadripper comes along and matches it blow for blow at a lower price point.

Linus is an acquired taste and can be very annoying but he's not really wrong.

He seems to be very excited about some, errrr, computer chips.

They don't strike me as very exciting things. Unless someone has a new one that does Quantum Computing then surely they are simply marginally faster iterations of what went before?

"Open your spreadsheets faster! Yes!"

"Word is faster! We know you can't tell. But it is!"

I don't know who this "LinusTechTips" clown is but if he wants to be taken seriously then maybe he should tone it down a bit because my impression from that video was that he's a raving looney. Ranting about stuff isn't the way to get people to take you seriously. I'm sure I've just offended his billions of followers, yelling and ranting seems to be the norm on Youtube these days.

Linus tech tips is (probably) the largest pc hardware and tech "influencer channel" on the planet and he is taken seriously by the consumer hardware industry.
Im sure he knows his audience likes better than anyone else having built a multi million dollar media company around it and he is catering to it.

If he presented his argument in a calm and measured manner he'd probably find that even more people would take him seriously. In no way am I defending Intel or what they supposedly did that upset him so much, but that video just makes him look like a spoilt kid spitting his dummy out.
