It's Cyber Monday, everyone's got specials, including SuperCheap Auto.

There it is on their front page 1 day only, online only. Thought I might order a fire extinguisher, they're all listed as 40% off for Cyber Monday. But no, fire extinguishers aren't available for delivery, only in store. So why have an online only sale for items you won't ship?

They have a click and collect option.

But if you've got to go to a store to collect, why not just offer the price in store then?

The whole point of online shopping (from the consumer's view) is to avoid the hassle of going to a physical shop, and buying what you want, when you want it.

If it's a product that they can't or won't ship, then don't have it in an online only sale.

Or, you could accept the terms and conditions of a product that may be problematic to ship, and decide for yourself if the deal is to your liking or not. Just because click and collect doesn't suit you, doesn't mean it doesn't suit lots of other people.

I personally like the click and collect option. It allows me to shop when the deal is on, and collect at my convenience when next in the area, and save of shipping costs also.

You don't have to take the deal on offer, you are free to go elsewhere.

You also don't know what going on behind the scenes, in the way that they purchase their products, supply chain, sale stock vs normal stock etc.  Lots of reasons why a company may be selective as to where the sale stock gets supplied from.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

Sometimes I'll get halfway to work when I realise my socks don't match.  This is also really annoying.

It infuriates me that ice-cream shops don’t sell vegemite ice-cream. When will all the ice-cream shops learn that I like vegemite ice-cream?
