He wasn't the messiah....but he was certainly a comic genius.

Hello Mrs Premise !-ooh Ello Mrs Confusion !-Busy day ?" BUSY I've just spent 4 hours burying the cat !-" ahh is he old ? " "No, we just don't like him."

"Excuse me for not shaking hands, but I've just been putting a bit of lard on the cat's boil. "

He will be missed. The modern woke hell we have made for ourselves will never permit the like again.

Sorry to hijack but I am getting a might tired of the misuse of this word 'woke', it is way to much been culturally misappropriated. Since when did Terry Jones have anything to do with 'African-American' issues.

This word/term has been exponentially misused since the start of 'Trumpism' and if I was an African-American I would be insulted. I think I am anyway.

RIP Terry - You gave the world a huge bundle of laughs and that honest humour is sadly lacking today.

Since when is the word woke constrained to just racial injustices?

It isn't restricted to "African American issues" anymore.

"aware, especially of social problems such as racism and inequality:"

It's evolved, like so many other words these days.

Ok I will go along with that. Like a lot of English Language misuse it still brasses me off. But the English Language is a bastardised or polyglot language anyway.

Presumably if you're not "woke", you're dozy and/or apathetic.  Unfortunately, there are plenty of people who are sufficiently well informed to be "woke" - but make a conscious choice to reject what's staring them in the face.
These seem to be the same people using "woke" as a pejorative - if you're "woke", you should just ignore them.
