It would be interesting to know if this is a global change, or whether NZ has just decided to cut costs by changing where it gets them from.
Either way, I won't be buying any more!
johna11: I have no confidence in the safety of food products manufactured in China. The NZFSA is working with importers to assess which products that are made in China might be at risk, and to start testing them as appropriate. In the meantime I think I'll give it a miss. This is, of course, a purely personal decision and I am not trying to tell anyone else what to do.
I'm a Eclipse mints addict, I have a pack on my desk at work, my wife has hers in her bag and we have some in the car. I have not noticed a change in the product at all, but after reading this thread have now noticed the "Made in China" on the side of the Tin.
I will continue to consume the product as I see no reason not to, still tastes the same.
But should I start to grow a third arm or something I will let you all know, Hey, at least I'd be able to type faster with three hands.
Soobygirl: I always have Eclipse mints and never noticed where they came from, but my current ones are from China. Don't really know if I still want to eat them, but then again nothing bad has happened to me...
I didn't want to put the 'yet' in there.. I was trying to be optimistic!
