What are some tv ads that for some reason just annoy you every time they come on? I have two.

First one is that chorus fibre and with the Steve jobs look alike idk why it just annoys me and makes me cringe lol

Second one is any is basically trivago ad lol. Cant stand them. The lady comes across as so smug. The most recent one were the lady shouts "what!" Almost rage inducing haha. And they're always so obnoxiously loud compared to other adverts.

Ones that use cutesy, whiney kids' voices to try and convey some sort of wholesome, do-gooder type message.

Must be something with finance ads. The Wallet Wizard ad annoys me

Every single one of them. They are just spam and that's why I keep my traditional tv viewing to a minimum. And they are constantly being repeated

I don't like commercials and if you ask me all of them are annoying. I have stopped to watch tv because of that before 5,6 years, and focus only on the internet. By in few last years, adds are all over internet, especially on youtube. terrible...

Yep same here - dislike ads with a passion - but there’s still some stuff the family want to watch on FTA.

As we all know, the saviour here is any STB on which you can record and skip through the ads.

In particular, despite its faults, the Vodafone TV STB makes this incredibly easy. It has a one-button-push feature where you can re-start an already-running programme then skip the ads in multiple 20-sec button pushes.  We often turn the telly on at say 5:40 pm, start watching The Chase from the beginning and skip through the ads. We get to the end at about 6:20 pm, then do the same re-start thing with One News (yeah, yeah, I know) and get to the end of One Sport at just about its normal finishing time. We can watch 1-3/4 hours in an hour.

The handy thing about this is that it’s not even set up to record anything - it just simply happens ‘live’.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

I had so many that I reached the point of only watching things on live pause video so I could skip them.

Then even that was too much and I gave up broadcast TV more than 2 years ago!

The advertising is too cheap, so it gets wasted on companies with inadequate budgets to produce skillful and effective work. JMO.

+1 - That one annoys the crap out off our house hold.

That is why, apart from TV1 6pm News, we record everything we wish to watch. Our Friday or Saturday ritual is to set the PVR up for 8 days recording.

And then; skippy dee doo dah, skippy dee day 😀

The infomercials with that lady (think her names Susan) with the really high pitched obnoxious voice.

As soon as one comes on the tv gets turned off, some of them hurt my hears just to listen to.
