I need to organise a birthday gift from isolation. Is it possible to buy a New Zealand crossword puzzle book or magazine and have it delivered by post under Level 4? Where would I find such a thing? Are only educational books 'essential'? Would this be endangering anyone? We are still getting regular post deliveries. Any info and links appreciated.

Geektastic: Amazon?

Amazon has significantly cut back the range of items they will ship internationally at the moment. A quick look suggests that only electronic books are available.

I do enjoy physical books, but I can't recall the last time I bought one that wasn't a cook book. Kindles are just so convenient, instant and allow you to do things like click on a word or phrase and get explanations, or increase the font to make it more readable.

I can understand you may be reluctant, but I can't strongly recommend enough, giving on a go. They are relatively inexpensive second hand. You could find like me, it was a revelation!

It's not for me. It is for an old person who won't touch technology. It has to be on paper or it will be ignored. There are still people like that.

I ordered books from Book Depository and they arrived quite quickly, too quickly in fact -  I ordered books 5 - 8 of The Expanse series and started re-reading books 1 - 4. I'm still only on book 3 and the new ones have been sitting on the shelf for a week :D

Funny. I never would have thought of a supermarket for something like that. Women's mags, yes. Puzzles, no.
