online resources like e books from the local library

our kids school also uses https://www.wheelers.co.nz/ and they gave the students an account there where they can check out ebooks.

Are you in NZ?

Pintrest - This is just another social networking maze where people 'post' hints/tips/trick.

If you are in NZ, has your school not communicated this to you already via the perhaps vast amounts of newsletter and or blog and or email updates that may have been pumped out in the past month?

Our school is using https://www.sunshineclassics.co.nz/

I know a lot of other schools are using the same and others a similar approach.

I have a year 1/2 kid.

Check your local library. Many have e-reading apps/solutions. e.g. I'm in Wellington and WCL uses Libby, which is excellent.
