In the spirit of numerous other cashback failure threads on here, has anyone had any joy getting a cashback from Acer?

I posted my cashback form over a month ago (my status says it hasn't been recieved), no response to emails (although the automated email states they will reply in two days), and I just spent 40 minutes on the cashback help line with no answer.

Has anyone had any joy?

Cheers,

Matt.

When the partner lodged her claim, I seem to remember it taking almost two months for it to say it was received and then all of a sudden it was approved and then the waiting started again.

My partner & I sent in all the details about a week ago. We received an email a couple of days ago from Acer saying they received it and are processing it. However we're still waiting for the 'cashback' part

I have sent an email direct to Acer NZ. I will return the laptop on principal if I don't see some action at some stage. It was advertised as having a cashback. I have followed their process to the letter.

There are a bunch of disclaimers on the claim form but I fail to see how they can disclaimer themselves out of the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.

They seem to make it as hard as possible for the consumer to make the claim..... It also seems as though it is all the companies that drag the chain on cashbacks, not just one or two.....

Deep breaths.... Count to 10..... /Rant complete....!!!

Cheers

Matt.

I've had a few that I've sent in that have all taken approximately 60 days.

It took Acer 5-6 weeks for them to acknowledge that they received my cashback form.  After that, it only took a week for them to approve it and the cheque came a week later.  So you could say it took close to two months.

Mine took a good 2 months. They try real hard to sell you an extended warranty instead when you apply.
