Can anyone recommend a gold dealer in Auckland to buy some 22 carat gold.  If you have done this before, what is  your experience.

If you're buying gold for investing then it might have changed in recent years but the only crowd I would even trust is NZMint, At the low end in 1/2/3oz range you're only dealing with 2-4% margin on top of spot. For larger bar's you should be able to negotiate down to 1% over spot.

Whoever you end up buying from, make sure you ask for their margin percentage and how often they are updating their spot price. Some people updated once a month only and were running 5% margin, Online places mainly

Thanks everyone.  We have the gold, and are wanting to sell it.

I have no intention of selling my bullion at this time, but I would be interested to know how best to go about it when the moment does arrive. I am not in a big city and am not sure how to find a suitable buyer or how to physically transfer the gold. I bought it on-line from an Auckland dealer, but that was a long time ago.

Once done, I will post the process.  Can anyone tell me where to find the spot selling price.

New York spot I personally found is best.

NZ based and NZD currency by default is NZMint:

I hope you have it in your hands and not a certificate from the days of Allan Hawkins and GoldCorp 😋
