That’s sad. It’s going to make watching Mythbusters reruns a bit different now.

A few more details from Ars Technica, but yeah, quite sad. Seemed like a genuinely nice guy, and heavily involved in the geek community.

Between him, Tory, Adam, Jamie and Kari they really influenced my inquisitive nature as a kid.

I was lucky enough to have Discovery (when it was good) and watched them religiously. Their unique ability to show their failures again and again proved to me sometimes you just can't do something, but so long as you tried your damnedest and had fun while doing so it was as fun as actually getting a result sometimes.

The best way to honour his memory (all of them) I will instill the same in my Son. As Adam said on multiple occasions, sometimes failure is an option.

Very much

He had been to some of the larger Cons in Australia. So close to us, yet so far.

Our members over there (501st legion, he was an honorary member for the work on Star Wars) said he was well interactive. 'holy s.. it's chewie' - coming from A surprised Grant.

I was saddened when I heard the news. Mythbusters was an influence on me as a kid.

Now I've realised how much time has pasted. I cannot believe it is over 2 weeks since I heard the news.

Rest in piece Grant.
