Consumer rate it well:
I also consider Amazon reviews a good (relatively) honest review IF you read between the lines.

Both rate this device highly.
Want to buy ours? Only a week old. Done only two vacuums around the house. 🤣

- Pro
- light weight
- very manoeuvrable
- 2 batteries
- 2nd battery has permanent charging slot
- stand has slots for attachments
- I like the LED lights on the main heads
- accurate battery indicators
- with flexible pipe, it's easy to clean other things besides the floor
- power switch lock to keep machine going without your finger on the trigger
- Meh
- while gimmicky, the blue / red ring indicating how hard the vacuum works
- phone app records usage
- phone app support firmware upgrade, this model has no firmware to upgrade
- loads of attachments that I don't see the need for
- the mother in law thinks the lights on the main heads are distracting
- auto power setting doesn't feel accurate when cleaning other things besides the floor
- Con
- The wife says its job is to pick up stuff she sees & it ain't doing it. I think it picks up loads
- It's bag less
- small dirt compartment, seems to last about 3/4 of the battery
- not all attachments can fit on stand
- the charge stand has a "cover". This means you have to tilt the vacuum to get it onto the stand. I feel you have to tilt it too much
- Godfreys will only refund if unused & still in box.
- otherwise, ... in store exchanges / upgrades might be available
- website says to call them for refunds / claims
- when calling, customer service agent says to take unit back to store
You've only had it a week and done 2 cleans and have decided to get rid of it already! Is it that bad you feel the need to get something else?
Dyson V11 is awesome to the extreme. Not regretting price one bit! One of the best purchases i have made in years.
I've got a Dyson V10 Animal and I must say it is fantastic - this is the previous generation.
To be perfectly honest - spend the little extra and go with a Dyson. The performance you get out of them is great and the new "Outsize Pro" is a very decent replacement for a regular vacuum cleaner. My V10 is the only vacuum cleaner we have and it does very well at picking up the cat fur etc.
Dyson also have some "Dyson Week" deals as discussed here and pricing of the V11 comes in at only a little bit more than the vacuum you mentioned: https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=164&topicid=275854

Not me, I like it.

We’ve got an older v6 That I replaced the battery that works fine on carpet, but the std Spinning brush head is absolutely useless on hard floors, so it’s mainly used as a quick tidy up tool for the lounge etc. If we want to clean the hard floors properly (crumbs, pet hairs etc) I still get out the 10 yo Miele which still cleans as well as it did when I first got it.
although I see Miele has a stick vac coming out which will be interesting to keep an eye on.

OK, I think I found the reason my wife was so unhappy with the vacuum.
🧐 She started in the office & sucked up a post it note. Instead of travelling up the tube, it blocked the hole inside of the broad head. 🤪 I will get her to try again & hopefully she changes her mind. ☺️

We have an older Dyson here and recently received a Dyson V11 Outsize for review. That is fantastic. The old one is great but a stick vacuum is simply awesome. Price is a bit high but performance is incredible.

I have a cheap rechargable Hover Vac stick with power head , from Godfreys (less than $300 when on sale ??)
A few years old, zero issues.
Its great . The power head is a must have.
The only issue with Vac sticks is the tiny tiny dust container. You need to empty it after every use, sometimes needs emptying more than once if Vacing the whole house (from what Ive found)
Considering the Hoovers are dirt(ha) cheap, I wonder how a $1000 vac can be justified .
Thanks for the great feedback guys.
There are a couple of things that I don't like about Dyson. Having to hold the trigger constantly. Noisy, when compared to others. Heavy, when compared to others. Numerous reports of battery failures between 2 to 3 years with a 2 year warranty.

No idea what they're like, but in my experience Miele don't make crap.
