Hey everyone,

I want to start a technology drive at work, bring in your old routers/phones to be recycled.

I'm aware of a few recycling places, but none that do collection/drop off a bucket/box and collect it later. Not sure where to start.

Is anyone aware of such a thing in CHCH? Happy to ask for a gold coin donation from the people to pay for it.

Thanks in advance!

Do eWaste recyclers even do it for free? We drop our old routers, cables, switches, chargers at Sustainability Trust in Wellington and they charge a fee - per unit (LCD, printers) or weight (cables, chargers, routers).

Happy to pay, just need one that drops off a box for $XX to place our old technology, possibly sorted into routers/cellphones/chargers?

I though I can't be the only person who has wanted to do this in Chch, so thought someone could lend their experience.

Happy to try a few places and then post here once I get more info.

Techcollect used to do free drop off on some things, however with OfficeMax closing it's retail stores there are no drop off locations anymore.

We've used Molten Media to drop things off to in the past. There is a charge and you should contact them first.

For collection Ecotech, who are down the road from Molten Media, also do e-waste recycling for a fee, and will do collection at an additional cost.
