Sir Sean Connery Dies, aged 90

Sad news for a Sunday morning

I loved him in the Untouchables ( and in the Bond films as well of course )

He was so ruggedly handsome, portrayed strength and his lilting voice was a pleasure to listen to. He died in the best possible way, in his sleep. We should all be so lucky at the end. RIP.

Perhaps god's a woman, and will slap him around a bit if he gets annoying.

He was a class act. He even managed to make Highlander watchable. RIP

Bit of a shock to read on Stuff this morning that he'd died. 90 is a good innings however. Thanks for all the movies Sean.

RIP Sean. Great actor. A true gentleman. Loved his Bond, James Bond 007 and his Captain Marko Ramius.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

It's never easy to get news like this, though 90 is a pretty decent innings I think.

Long may he be fondly remembered.

I love this photo that has been used in his obits, just seems to capture the man, the character and the whole era/genre:

"Well then Godspeed, it looks like you're stuck between The Rock and a hard case...."

Connery and Hans Zimmer made that movie what it is....
