Maybe nobody cares, but thought I'd see how the above goes.

You don't have to put a lot of thought in, just any pet pointless invention you found lying around.

I'll start - the leaf blower. I mean what exactly is the point of rearranging leaves on the ground anyway ?

Leaf blowers are awesome.

They are handy for their intended purpose. We get a tonne of leaves in autumn and moving them to one easy place to pick them up makes the job easier.

They are also good for using on the deck instead of a broom, and when mowing the lawns they make short work of getting clippings off the driveway or even worse, some rocks or other feature in the yard.

Yes, +1 for the leaf blower. I also use mine to rapidly cool down my coffee beans after roasting, sweeping the garage, blasting spider webs from under the eaves. So many uses for the humble leaf blower.

I'm going to put the performance SUV out there. A vehicle that neither performs well as a performance car or an SUV.

My leaf blower also sucks....literally.  Much better than blowing stuff around.  Gives it a bit of a mulch as well, then I chuck it in the bin/compost.

My one sucks.  The blower I mean :-)  It sucks and shreds the leaves, awesome.

The leaf blower is good for blow drying the car according to Mike Hosking.

If you have a petrol / battery powered one you can sit is a swivel office chair and see haw fast you can get dizzy, would be good for Friday night drinks.

Ok, maybe the office chair thing is useful, but I still hate them. Maybe its because I see people blowing stuff everywhere but not actually picking stuff up after its piled together, they just blow leaves from the drive onto the grass edging. Maybe I hate the noise (possibly affected by the chain saw king next to us). Maybe its because I don't have one. OK, I'm not giving up - mostly useless apart from all the stuff you mentioned.

I would say kitchen appliances that take longer to clean than the time they save doing their task. Like a george forman grill vs a frying pan.

My fridge comes with a 15 minute wine cooler.

When reading the instructions, you put the wine in the freezer, hit the button and 15 minutes later it start beeping to tell you to take it out.

F&P - technically not false advertising but really is a load of crap!!

The light in my car that tells me whether the passenger airbag is on or off. Pointless. Especially as it’s in my eye-line when driving at night.

I need to know when the airbag has a fault not whether it’s off when I have no passengers. Other than that, leave it on or stick the light where I can’t see it!!

Leaf blowers are also quite useful for removing fire extinguisher dry powder from a car engine bay after putting out a fire.

Wasn't my car thankfully.

Indicators on BMW's.

BMW could save a fortune by not installing them, because BMW drivers don't know what they're for anyway.

Pls don't hurt me.
