Now I need to stop criminals from being able to climb over a back fence.  I have installed wires at the back and twisted them so that they act like barbed wire.

What else can I do to stop these scums from climbing over the back fence?  There is a small path between the back fence and the complex next door.

Yes, that's a good idea.  Would I be in the wrong (in temrs of the current laws) if they cut their hands?

Since you already have the wire there what about a couple of signs saying that the fence is electrified?
Fake security cameras? Or again just a sign saying that there are cameras?

Hmmm, if criminals are wearing hoodies and what-no, do you think cameras would scare them off?  I am not being sarcastic here, genuinely asking the question.

Motion sensing lights?
Why do criminals want to climb over the back fence in the first place? Any way to reduce the incentives, rather than increasing the disincentives?

The problem is that there is a gap between our complex and the next.  Someone could climb over the fence from the main road and walk down to the back of 4 houses.

If it was me I would put up signs saying "Warning electric fence" and also install a security light

if somebody gets hurt.. u will get into trouble for having these "precaution measures" even if someones pet gets hurt. or someone complains.. they arent actually allowed... thats what I found out when I wanted to do the same for my property.

However, to contribute.. on my overseas property.. we broke glass bottles.. and they are glued to on our bricked fence. You can use cement to secure it.

Get some cheap trellis and nail it along the top of the fence. People will be less inclined to pull themselves over the fence as the trellis will break off. Wouldn't want to climb over something if it can't support your weight, and this would make the drop higher also.

Just nail it back up if it does break off.

Maybe have some longer nails that go right through the fence+trellis to cut some fingers up if you feel nasty.

EXCELLENT!  I like that trellis idea, good one.  I am going to do that:)

Yes, right now the fence supports their weight.  With the trellis, haha, it will wobble and make one hellova noise!

A line of silicon and while it has yet to set, thumbtacks upsidedown. That will provide more than an annoyance.
