Hi There, I have a retail curtain & blind business in a small town in the waikato region. I have only previous curtain & blind installation experience on residential/commercial work (15yrs) in Auckland but have never tryed my hand at the nz govt tendering service. What is the best way to start off. We are very good at what we do on the residential scene. I still get offers of employment as a contract fitter from hamilton/Auckland so I know i am still sort after in the industy & have a good name.

Responding to Goverment RFPs are always fun, they are a lot of work, but they can be good work if you can get them.

I'd suggest responding to the RFPs that suit you the best, put in a professional proposal and work your hardest to get them.  Keep your existing client base as well, you need to find a good balance.

You will spend money responding, but if you don't try you won't get.

Good luck.
