I'm wanting to access TVNZ on Demand from the UK but unfortunately their stupid licencing policies have blocked all users from outside New Zealand. It obviously checks IP addresses and collelates them to their geographical location, those outside NZ are denied.

What I'm asking is what is a good way to circumvent these IP checks, ie use a proxy or something to let the system think I am actually in New Zealand. This technology is all new to me so hopefully someone can give me some instructions or suggestions in tapping into the site.

I use an application that creates a VPN between myself and a US server to access hulu.com but I haven't seen anything around for NZ. We're just too small. Your best bet is to manually configure a proxy you can find here in NZ but be warned, it'll probably be quite slow from where you are, especially routed through a free proxy.
