Seems the Mitre10 website has been down for a few hours...
That won't help them in Auckland, where all sales are being done on their..

Been down all weekend. Or at least, every single time I tried all weekend anyway.

Wow. That must be terrible for business!
I wonder what the issue is.
I prefer ordering from these guys. The collection process is a million times better than Bunnings...
They may not be paying them to work in the wee hours of the night.
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

if that's the case then some clever economiser is going to get fired this week. One thing for it to be down when people can just roll up to the shop, but with all of Auckland only able to buy from the website... yeah, I think we've made our case for 24/7 support, boss.

Really? I have done about 7 orders from bunnings in the past few weeks, and with the exception of one mixup which they made right very promptly, it's been order, wait for an invitation, pick a time, roll up, they open the boot and leave stuff inside, done. Usually that process is under 3 minutes.
Not saying anything against M10, shop wherever you like, but my Bunnings experience has been pretty good.
It's more the "we'll let you know some time in two days" thing that turns me off Bunnings.

Must just be my local one which is slow (Glenfield, North shore). The 2 times I have been, the queues of cars have been really long. Then the call and wait process was also long and painful - the last time they couldn't find my order with the number ("Are you SURE that the number you quoted me is correct?") or my name.... After calling a second staff member, they somehow found it.
Both times I was there for 30-45 mins in total.
Mitre10 Albany and Glenfield had me in and out within a few minutes.....

Hmmm - I found the exact opposite.
Bunnings collection was much faster and slicker ( Bunning Mt Roskill ) compared to M10 New Lynn. ( 2 minutes Vs 40 Mins for collection )

I know enough to be dangerous
Definitely not fun times for our mates in orange. My team had a similar outage in the weekend, ours was bad enough with around 2 hours of downtime - I can't even imagine how bad it is for them after 3-4 days of downtime.
Yeah the M10 web site ordering outage seems to be a bit of a major for them, and I'm sure they are scrambling to sort it.
FYI my three click and collect experiences at M10 Westgate / Northwest in the last couple of weeks were excellent and efficient with a 2 minute maximum wait. My one experience with M10 Lincoln Road was very average with a 10 minute wait and what looked like a less efficient operation. I may have caught them at a bad time, of course.

PocketSmith for budgeting and personal finance management. A great Kiwi company.
We placed an order with Mitre 10 Pukekohe on Friday and pickup was Sunday afternoon. Very smooth and efficient operation at the collection point. As you approach someone is checking your car reg, and brings out your order ready to be loaded into your car as soon as you stop at the front of the queue. They were getting through orders very quickly.
Of course, as usually happens, I started looking to add more items for another order once I'd returned home yesterday. Obviously haven't been able to do so yet. It'll give me more time to figure out what else I 'need'.
Keep calm, and carry on posting.

With the multi-day delay to get an order filled and the 1-2 week wait for shipping, will anyone even notice?
(We're five minutes from a M10, now on day ten of waiting).
Yes, anything involving a courier will be stale or forgotten by the time it arrives if you're in the Auckland delivery system.

Think of it as NZ Post/couriers giving your order two weeks of MIQ to make sure you can't catch Covid off the shipment.
