Any suggestions for a good grilled cheese sandwich in Wellington, please?

 

I am not looking for a toastie but an actual grilled cheese with stretchy cheese on thick slices of bread, made on a grill - not those pre-prepared things you find in some coffee shops they put in the microwave oven to heat.

This has popped up on my FB page lately and a few friends have been and enjoyed them.  I've never tried them so cannot vouch, personally they seem a little too fancy for my liking

Yes, saw that but it looks like they add lots of stuff in there. What happened to plain old cheese only? Why do people think stuff filling is "gourmet"?

I assume you mean Wellington CBD proximity, otherwise Tricky's in Upper Hutt may be what you're after?

I've not tried their grilled cheese, only their more fancy variations.

CBD would be good by Tricky's have Swiss cheese on sourdough. Perfect, will try!

 

They also have Reuben, so perhaps two toasted sandwiches on a single trip?
