(Not sure if this is the correct forum for my query).

I know very little about Cyber Monday - no prior experience - have never taken part or followed it in any way. I’m thinking of buying a new OLED TV, so I’m interested to know how it works and how good it is, whether it’s worth waiting for and so on.

Are current models of gear like TVs likely to included in the offerings - or is it a way for sellers to run out older stock? Do retailers have just one or two items of a discounted product at reduced prices, i.e. so that when those are gone, that’s it (i.e. remaining stock of that product at normal price)? Is it like the MIQ lottery - thousands seeking to get a handful of deals, then a 'fastest finger first' and most miss out? Are the discounts meaningful? Are they huge?

Would welcome comments and advice.

I would be interested as well , might be some sales on older model TVs but wouldn’t expect massive savings as stock is still low. The shipping costs of goods is still very high so won’t be as good as in the past. I have always found cyber Monday never as good as Black Friday from personal experience.

Based on the fact there are such limited stocks of appliances in the country right now I wouldn't necessarily be expecting any great deals. Even thought our dollar is comparatively strong at present shipping costs have blown out completely.

If there are good deals the next question would be when you could get stock - just go and visit a Harvey Norman store (for example) right now and look at the supply issues, things are so bad they're putting stickers on products so you know what is in stock and available and what is out of stock.

I have been told by someone in retail that they barely have enough of the products for normal sales so nothing much sale wise, and it will be more promotions of interest free and bundling up things that they have stock of instead.
