i sleep in till about lunch time and eat and open presents then ill be playing on the computer for the rest of the day until i have dinner with the family. i'm not religious at all so i don't go to church or pray before eating my christmas food. are there any people here that actually pray before they eat christmas food or go to church?

What I am I doing?

I'll be somewhere in Palmerston North - far far far away from my home in Auckland, with my dad, his yoga teacher, his yoga friends, and his other friends. All in all, I think we've got around 8 people coming along.

Holiday will be fun, just spending more time with his friends just makes me feel awkward.

I also recently talked about my holiday plans.

I figure its best to stay at home over Christmas. Everyone else is going away so staying at home is then a holiday :D

I'll be at church, and have been for many years now - as their piano/keyboard guy, I think they'd be alittle annoyed if I planned to sleep in... plus I may get fired (all those years of boring piano lessons can turn into $$ Cool).

Once the formalities of the morning are over, it's beer and lunch with my family, then beer and dinner with my partner's folks.  It's generally too much food and drink all round.

Road-trip through north island Monday and Tuesday with many delivery stops like a Santa, on Christmas day itself will be wining and dining in the Bay of plenty region at a kiwifruit orchard, hopfully Wellington's rain won't follow us up!
Off up towards Auckland to end up at a beach house up in northland on the 27th...

I have one hard decision however, What gadgets/tech to bring!
I had an old N95 "fall into my hands" today as it was a bit bashed up and mate got an iPhone so that will be the GPS, probably witrh MGmaps and the "MGmaps Cache"
EeePC900, Telecom datacard, Okta touch, Samsung i325, iPod 60GB and will probably carve up my "solar boombox" running off one of these Tripath d-class chips if we see some sun tomorrow :-)

Opening presents first thing in a.m. with my 23 month old ("TREEEEEEEEEEEEEE YAYYYYYYYYYYY" lol).

Spend some of day making quick visits to some close friends, go home, sleep, watch a DVD. whatever, then my boy is coming back late afternoon, and we will play with toys, read books and other stuff before he goes to sleep.
