Hey guys,

I purchased some products (clothes, socks and underwear) from Amazon and NZPost has labelled my parcel as "NZ Customs Import Entry required" and I'm not entirely sure to do next as I have never done this before.

I've also attached a screenshot of the NZ Customs Import Entry required online information on my parcel. If you guys don't mind, would be great to get any help :D.

Thanks

You should receive a contact from Customs (as per the screenshot) explaining what you need to do next, and if you need to pay any duties or not.

I had the same exact thing recently.
While I was waiting to be contacted by customs , they got delivered anyway ,just over a week later .

Just keep an eye on the tracking. If/when the packages moves to a local courier depot, then its on its way to being delivered

If you do get contacted by customs.. and they require paperwork & declarations .....

then you may need to go through a Licenced Customs Broker  to sort this out. Thats when it may be cheaper to write it off .

Amazon are supposed to sort this out as part of what they charge you for when ordering things. When I have seen this on an amazon parcel it just came thru a day later. When it happened on some stuff I was getting from aliexpress I had to get in touch with customs because no letter was forthcoming and my holdup was just because the idiot senders have called some pneumatic tubing and fittings as "wind pipe" and it triggered something with customs. Once I sent them thru a pdf printed from aliexpress showing what it was it came thru, I didn't need to do the whole customs thing luckily.

NglButiLoveTechnolog, is the value of the items (including the postage cost) over NZ$ 1,000? If it's not, it's odd that would require customs to be involved, as richms pointed out Amazon normally sort that part out.
