Did anyone managed utilise this offer. Looks like the server goes down by the time you reach final page.

Why were there no Wellington based fatres available I wonder. The advertising said Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, but in fact it was only Auckland and Christchurch that were listed.

During the Salefare (12pm to 2pm) the return fare was $89 and now it came down to $69.

I read comments from people on Stuff complaining about this as well. It's really strange because I had no issues seeing any flight from Wellington.

I started booking dead on 12:00 and had my first flight return flight done about 12:02 from Wellington to Auckland. Over the next 30 mins before I gave up I'd completed my details on multiple return bookings on both Wellington -> Auckland and Wellington -> Christchurch routes. I probably managed to select flights on probably 20 different user sessions, only managed to get through to submitting my details on about 5 or 6 occasions.

Their overloaded server took ages to process my booking but I did secure my Christchurch/Auckland return flights. Unbelieveable to fly there and back for $2!

+ Credit card booking fee + check in bag fee.

I like how they say that you still may not be able tp fly on the day you have selected :P

Still a damn good deal though.

Dont forget to buy insurance... lots of people have been left stranded overseas when the plane has broken down and needed maintenance.

It is a budget Airline but it's a Qantas business. It's not like many of the low cost European or North American operators who buy cheap 20yr old planes and fly them around..

No such thing as a cheap airfare, they always sting you with the fine print.

Baggaage Tax checkin fee, 1 bag only, Airport taxes. You also end up traveling at stupid times.

I find its not worth the savings in the end. I gave up traveling on the budget airlines along time ago.

Of course it is. Its the Qantas no frills airline.

The Airfare is cheap, but the extras you are used to are charged for.

Is deep vein thrombosis included in that price or do you have to pay extra for it?

I got 2 seats from Auck to Wellington in August, came to $12 for 2 with the credit card fee (we're only taking carry on luggage so it's not that bad).

It wasn't without any trouble though cos it took me over an hour to get through it...got sent an e-ticket for my first booking attempt even though I hadn't got to the confirmation page (but after putting the payment through) Yell  The slowness of the website was to be expected I guess seeing the prices on offer. I'm a pretty frequent traveller so we'll see how it comapres to other airlines, although I'm not gonna be holding my breath Wink

I see that Air NZ has been offering fares from Auckland to Wellington for June, August and Sept as low as $28 to match their offer (with checked in baggage).
