Hi all,

Firstly, apologies for the blatant linkage - Mods, if its too on the nose please advise/remove/lock/delete.

I'm posting because I think it's an important issue that's not just related to the HP's of the world.

Global Corporates have far reaching control over the lives of many individuals (for the Google alarmists out there) - and it's alarming the effects this has.

With the number of IT patrons on Geekzone I'm sure there are similar circumstances out there and would be intrigued to hear about them.

The article was writen by DamianSaunders - Article Here

Digg post here if you think it's worth the click and getting the message out there.

Wow, guess that's why you pay $50 for what should be a $1 part in an HP printer.

Scary article, interesting reading indeed.

Update: HP is forcing another "temporary" 10% cut on its US and Puerto Rico staff (basically because they are the only countries they can impose it upon - thank you NZ laws).

Here is the kicker though, this will be applied only to EDS staff (HP acquired EDS last year), yet it was the EDS side of the business that kept HP profitable last year!
