Looks like Stuff has just implemented a "login or don't see any articles" system just now.

That came out of the blue.

I went from the NZ Herald to Stuff because of the paywall. Now I might need to jump ship again to where I am not sure.

Update: The login request only shows up on my mobile, not on desktop. Interesting.

When it does this on desktop, just open the same link in Incognito mode to bypass it..

Good tip with the incognito mode. Looks like this is the start of the beginning. More data mining!

I have not seen this on mobile or desktop today. Are you using an Apple device? 😂

It started witg the Quizzes.
Must've been a way of testing of the tech worked. Even on icognito mode it was needed to do the quizzes. I just stopped engaging.

My ad blocker mostly does the trick for the quizzes (breaks the scroll bar, so I need to scroll down before the script loads), but if they end up making the whole site non-functional then I'll just stop doing the quiz.

I did see the notification for a few days and you couldn't get past it but now the notification has an X at the top right so can just close it and carry on to the quiz.

Excellent, thanks. How long it will last that is the question.
