In the last month or so I've placed orders at AliExpress.  They've shipped, then something has gone wrong.  The orders have been marked as "expired" and I've been refunded.

I've made the orders again, same thing.

Is this just me or does Aliexpress have some issue with shipping to New Zealand?

Interesting. I've had an order status show it has arrived in NZ but the status changes to "unsuccessful delivery, incorrect address" which is not true as no delivery was attempted and my address is correct.

Not seen any issues, things have consistantly turned up within two weeks all year for me

This is several orders across 3-4 sellers.  They would show as getting to a distribution centre (still in China), then being returned to sender.

I've got another one which has been returned to sender but hasn't been closed, so I'm going to have to wait until it really doesn't arrive before getting a refund.

I don't get emails when the orders expire.  The last email I have tends to be "package in transit."

Yes, I had this happen earlier this month. First time ever.

"Expired. Sorry, this order has been closed due to shipping problems. You can place the same order again."

I haven't bothered trying to place the order again

I had this once a few months ago. The order was not shipped, but I couldn't cancel it as it was marked as picked up by courier. It eventually expired and I was refunded.

It appears they no longer mark items as shipped when the supplier indicates such, but rather when they actually ship the package from their warehouses (assuming you are using AliExpress shipping). This may also explain why people are suddenly receiving their packages much quicker... they aren't being told they've shipped until perhaps a few days later than previously.

I've had that happen with my latest order.   I've not tried doing another order since though.  So I don't know if it will occur for further orders.

Is this for legit vendors or Shop12345678 type stores?

That is what happens when it goes to fasthorse but its an address they wont deliver to. They are supposed to get redirected to NZ post before that happens but sometimes they dont. Have had a couple going to my PO Box that seems to take a week for it to go back to fasthorse to then re-address it.

If the seller has BS'ed them about the size of things that will happen. Or if it has batteries that they are not declaring that get it rejected from the consolidation warehouse.
