Great news! 🎁 You have a $ credit waiting for you at PB Tech!

Emailed, does not seem to be a scam. Credit available when logged into account. Anyone else get this?
I have only purchased a few items online over the years, due to credit card fees and courier costs.

Cheers

:)

If you logged into pbtech.co.nz without clicking a link in any emails and it was there, I don't see how it could be a scam. If you did click links in the email, I would be wary.

I suggest giving PBTech a call and asking before using it.

They might have accidentally assigned someone else's credit to your account?

I got an email too, I had some old credit for a warranty return that I had forgotten about. I think they just want to get the credit off their books. It's legit, but I can't see a way to view the credit without creating an order and proceeding to the payment page, where it allows you to apply credit as a payment option.

I replied to the email, they said it is correct and from 2016. They can't provide further detail as they have changed the accounting system.

I also got an email about a credit at PB Tech, it was only $40 but had been sitting there for a couple of years. I assume they don't want the liability sitting there messing up their balance sheet (don't quote me, I'm not an accountant, but it sounds like something one would say πŸ˜…).

Funny I got the same around the same time and also first reaction was a scam.
Credit was for a cancelled duplicate purchase last year which was supposed to be refunded to my card but never did.
I used the credit in store towards a purchase and paid the remainder in cash. .. but the credit still shows a month later on my shopping cart and it’s getting tempting to try if it works

Had the same issue, they definitely have some credit tracking issues. I used a portion of the credit for an in-store purchase and it didn't deduct from the total online. I questioned it with one of their staff and she couldn't explain it. She said to just try spending it again, so I did.

The order went through fine but the next day I got an email saying that the accounts team picked up the anomaly and that the order was ready to pick up but I'd have to pay the difference.
