Just wondering, does anyone know who markets/sells the 'Mr Cheese' product which just started being promoted on TV here in NZ?

Thanks.

Not sure sorry - but I do hereby nominate it for both worst product and worst ad of the year.

Have you tried it? As I havnt but I've got to admit I was curious. Although you're right about the ad, the first thing I thought was that it was so 'American'

Are you worried about trademark issues?

Oh good god no - just the thought makes me feel ill. "Real cheese" in a can... riiiiiiiight. As Mr T. would say, I pity the fool that thinks that is real cheese.

I'm thinking of it more as a marketing opportunity on my station.. since it's called 'The Cheese'. :)
I've sent them an email.. Thanks for the info.

Was watching Breaskfast on TV1 this morning and Paul Henry was feeding it to everyone in the studio.... one girl looked like she was going to hurl.

Its only 35% actual cheese - and it has a 12 month shelf life - normal cheese does not survive that long so think whats in the "Mr Cheese" can making it last.... Undecided

Tatua are a amazing little Dairy Company. I remember back in the old days (ok, the early 90s ...) when they were a little island surrounded by NZ Co-op. Even Kiwi Dairies paid less than Tatua back to their farmers.

Ran state of the art equipment to produce real cream in a can (which was lovely) to sell in the UK. 100 times nicer than that mock-cream stuff.

My favourite back them were the chocolate mousse in a can which was amazing.

As such, if Tatua are doing it then I would imagine that its quite tasty.
