This one went by the wayside because it just 'works'. But While digging around on how to add a QR (pumped code) I come across the news that Klarma is dumping stocard and making you use their app instead region by region.

Seems to not have a great rapport along with it.

So other than trying to get (google)wallet to be as fast as a tap on the stocard widget. What are your go to card apps.

I emailed klarna and got a zip of my stocard data, imports fine into catima installed from f-droid, pretty seamless migration.

Google Wallet? Maybe Apple Wallet, but don't know if it holds loyalty cards.

:) have some in wallet. But it lacks the popup notice to use, and given its also the tap payment it takes ages to load the additional barcodes (especially on watchOS) to scroll through. When the widget on stocard had them laid out on their own panel on the phone ready to tap also.

My wife was annoyed with StoCard going away, but found SuperCards which is basically similiar.  Even with the whole swipe left on your screen(Apple) to bring up the cards for ease of access etc

My stocard app seems fine and it looks like I can keep adding cards.

So, I think I will just rid out the app until it no longer works I guess.

iPhone related, I use 1Wallet which allows you to add loyalty cards to Apple Wallet.

Seems to be batch migrations or triggered by a particular update pestering.

Mine too for the time being. But if I can research to replace it now it's easier than if/when it dies.

The Australians have posted in Reddit they've been hit with the nags.
They're a loan company so may need a geographical presence first.

Hmmm I have screenshotted the apps (new world, woolworths etc) and put the barcodes in a note…

You can add Wallet as a lock screen shortcut, which is also what I did for Stocard. Don't have to get to a widget first. Works well enough (as a replacement for Stocard) that, for now, I don't need to add yet another app.

That's a UI specific feature I suspect. One ColorOS lacks.

Supercards does seem to have a likeness

One touch Widget panel and so on. Potentially not the same range of pre loaded au/nz company but it's got the ones I had loaded already.

Why not just use Klarna?

Wasn’t aware of the impending demise of Stocard - which I’ve used for 6+ years.

Installed “SuperCards” last night and it’s a good replacement on iOS. Simply screenshotted all of my cards in Stocard and bulk imported into SuperCards. Done!

For a basic starting point, Ones a simple quick access barcode storage.

The others a finance afterpay/finance/loan app that seems to need an account. That happens to offer storing them.

Which is apparently quite bloaty

I was forced to migrate to Klarna and I thought I'd try it out, but when there I found it had only migrated 6 out of maybe 20 cards in Stocard. That made Klarna even more unappealing.

So how do I get all those extra cards back from Stocard and avoid having to find them all? No matter what I do the Stocard app won't allow access to the cards.

I found the previous version of Stocard in apkmirror and installed it. That automatically found my account and loaded all my existing cards. Now I have access to them all while I work out what to do next. I just have to avoid updating that app while I'm relying on it to hold all my cards.
