I am sick and tired of paying for overnight delivery, and the item is not delivered on time
I am ok with, being delivered on working day, even if there is a flood, or storm, or quake..

If you pay for overnight delivery and it takes 2-3 days, then you should get a credit, even if its not cash back

It's a 'guideline' not a guaranteed service.

If you paid with credit card this could be a good enough reason for a chargeback.

So Courier Companies operate by the 'Pirate Code'.
'Dems Guidelines'

So if you complain they just stonewall you no free tickets as compensation? Yuck !

You'd know about it if paying for the guaranteed overnight service.

Target vs promise.

But most do offer a guaranteed service for a premium. That's usually via DHL if you're talking NZPost related.

They'll even directly deliver to the airport/plane.

Have had to pickup a few in my time direct off sorted inbound aircraft. It ain't cheap.

Yeh, agree…. Even economy “target” is borderline.

loads of people still complain about cards to call even when they are sitting in their lounge and there’s no door knock.

the minister needs to front up and order an enquiry about nz post service!
and the only way they can do that is have more people complain….
overnight should be overnight, economy should be economy.   They need to get better with split deliveries too.

the operating model is busted….contracted couriers can’t handle the workload.

is the only reason the government hasn’t sold of nz post due to WINZ, ACC, Health NZ the IRD being their best customers?

(cue the letter showing 1cent tax refund).

They just call it a target so they can really deliver it whenever they like and it's just too bad for the consumer.

When we courier out now, anything that's time sensitive is sent out by Urgent Couriers - that way we know it's going to arrive, on time.

I got overnight courier that has yet to be delivered after 2 days. And now not likely to be there until Monday.
it sucks.
