Anybody with ANZ (or other bank in NZ) successfully bought an audible gift card from audible.com.au lately?

 

Apparently that's the correct region to use for AU and NZ purchases, but I've just tried with 3 different cards and all failed. 

Audible website says that the purchase was successful but then sends an email saying "We are writing to let you know that we have not received a valid payment method for your order XYZ. As a result, it has been canceled."

ANZ credit card team say they see no attempts at a payment and to contact Audible about it. 


Audible support spent a bunch of time getting me to delete and re-add cards and retry the payment, all of which failed, then said it must be your bank.  I successfully purchased an amazon gift card 10 minutes later from Amazon AU no problems so the bank being the problem seems unlikely...?  Guess I should have asked audible what ReCo they're seeing 🤷‍♂️
