http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/9440/spdif.jpg Does anyone understand this? doing some searching, and some sites say it uses the headphone port? I dont see any light coming from it lol, so how could it be? If its in my control panel, that should mean there is a way of sending the audio out via Optical?

If the docking station has a TOSLink optical, or coaxial (RCA) connector on it then you can plug a SPDIF connection into it. If there's no red light coming out of it even when the PC is docked and the output is enabled, then further investigation will be required.
