yup I am unable to load the website at all, either using my XT network datacard, or my Telecom Business adsl2+ plan...

I tried to find some way of contacting them to alert them of the problem, But I couldn't find anything so went to Hoyts instead... so SkyCity cinemas lost 6 ticket sales to transformers, not many... but if just 1 person (me) was unable to see what times the movie was on.. then surely other people would have gone somewhere else also...

Loads okay for me.

Or do you mean certain parts of the website, i.e. the booking engine?

I sent them this email, on Friday 5 June:

Hi there
For half an hour, my friend and I, in 2 separate houses (but communicating via msn) have been trying to load your annoying and frustrating website to see if there is anything that we can see tonight. Neither of us has had any luck. In the meantime I have managed to load and view Rialto, Hoyts, Academy, Lido, Berkeley, check the viewing times and probably decide to go to one of them since your website is just impossible to deal with any more. This is week after week of frustration building up, and we're just sick of it. Can you not just stop trying to be flash (pardon the pun) and groovy and hip and just produce a nice crisp, quick and most importantly, functional website that the general public can actually view. Like the new Berkeley one. It's not as cool, but at least we can check which movies are on and when, in a fraction of the time. We have been regular customers for several years, but boy have we gone off your service since this website has been like this.
Please do something to make our life a bit easier again!

So far, No response at all.
Clearly it hasn't improved. A total lack of respect for customers.
I still feel very grrrr about it, and have been to Berkeley, Hoyts and anywhere else I can, in preference, since.

They already lost 6 ticket sales to transformers as I couldn't access there site to see vieing times, and hoyts made the profit instead. Now ice age 3 is out, we want to see that, still there website performing like crap. seems they run it from a dial up connection huh

Make sure youre using www else it seems to fall over.....
Its an odd site anyway in design.... looks nice, everything laid out but soon as you actually select something, its like a newbie has taken control and couldnt be bothered continuing with the nice flow of things...

who can we complain to? or how do we contact someone to complain about the problem to? maybe we could get some free tickets out of it , for us geekzoners, to alert them of the issues?

skycity and hoyts websites are both perfect examples of creativity gone mad at the expense of usability. I can name multiple times that we have gone to Berkeley instead of the other two as the websites are unusable. Neither are usable from a mobile. Most users want to know what movies are on and the time. We have been voting with our feet based on the websites. Crazy really... Sorry getting off topic....

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Site has always worked perfectly for me, or are you talking about booking tickets? As I only view it for the times. Using Telecom broadband.

I hate it on the hoyts site you can't get a session list of all the movies playing at a particular theatre, for friends to gather around, or to print one. you. have. to. click. on. each. movie. one. by. one.

Also, it loads real slow on the iPhone, wheres the m.hoyts.co.nz at eh!

Heh, make that 3 more. We too wanted to go to there for Transformers, but the damn website never loaded, so we went to Hoyts instead! Well the main reason was like we were on the road and had to look up movie timings fast, and since the skycity site never loaded...

Btw, recently found this website http://www.nzcinema.co.nz/ . It may not be very idiot-friendly, but its simple and loads real fast.
