hi all,
was wondering if washing windscreens of cars while they stopped at red lights was legal ?? i saw one of those washers trying to clean a cops car and the cop sat there watching !!!

it's a council bylaw that prohibits window washers from intersections, so if it's legal or not would depend who your local council is.
Fraktul: They are interfering with your private property if they touch your car so you should be able to do something about it.

DjShadow: They only started showing up around a year ago in Hamilton, I suppose you could try to blame the recession on this for them trying to earn some extra money but yes I agree they are annoying.
I've only encountered them on the corner of Mill and Ulster st, Lincoln/Massey/Greenwood st intersection and sometimes Ohaupo/Kahikatea/Lorne st intersection so far
