Funny that I can still retrieve my e-mails through the Nokia N97 but like everyone else it just won't work on the PC.

It's only the web-interface according to the App Status link I posted:

"We are continuing to investigate this issue. We will provide an update by September 2, 2009 9:16:00 AM UTC+12 detailing when we expect to resolve the problem.

Users can access their email via IMAP or POP. You can find instructions for how to do this here."
