I posted about "wireless electricity" about one year ago. I saw a demo at Intel Developer Forum. That is one of my top posts in page views.

Also I saw during the CES 2007 a few products that allowed you to recharge your mobile and other devices by simply placing these on a mat. So nothing new there...

The thing is that all these solutions require new batteries - ones that "understand" this power.
