Hi folks, this is apparently where we will be staying during TechEd. Does anyone know if they have Wifi available in the rooms?

Cheers,
D.

I am staying there too. I don't remember having WiFi before - I stayed there a few times already. The worst thing is their Internet service is $39/day (or something like that) for 50MB. After that you pay per MB.

Bring your own mobile broadband modems!

Thanks MF. That's bad news indeed! At least I can use my E71 on the Mac. Still, it's pretty sad for a reasonably fancy hotel.

The rooms at Skycity (unsure about the grand) have network ports you can plug into (this was back when I was in there in 2007) but I think the price of using it was awfully high

Sky City Grand use Rivernet proxies.
Tech ed are using their own network provided at a discounted rate. It will be on 24 hrs during tech ed.
The tech ed repeater is on level 6 of the hotel.
I might be able to get you a key if you are out of coverage.
