Honda has developed a segway type device:

Which do you think is better, the segway or the honda u3-x?

I think honda's device is better because it is much smaller than a segway and it is being developed by a car manufacturer so they know their stuff.

Many prototypes from car manufacturers never see the light of the day... This looks like another one.

I like the u3-x, it would make me feel like I was on a magic carpet rather than a high-tech bicycle. Though I must say, it looks kind of dangerous for someone with big feet, your toes look like they would end up either getting broken or ground off riding at any sort of speed.

maybe it has some sort of toe detection where the emergency brake is applied if your toe is going to hit the wheels. or maybe they just advise you to wear shoes.
