A baby dancing to beyonce has taken over YouTube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kuWo02QPHI

Look at the bottom left hand side of the tv screen, it has a C4 logo which is the logo for the music tv channel C4 in New Zealand.

It has had 419,102 views. Probably the most views any person from New Zealand has had on YouTube. I think this video has probably been stolen from someone else's YouTube account because about 5 other YouTube users have the same video. But this video is on the front page of YouTube New Zealand and YouTube Worldwide and lots of other countries.

yawn... And next thing you will see is the recording studio asking YouTube to take down the video because of the use of a copyright song in the background - they've done it before, they will do it again.

Really that was on the news? Guess I'm not missing much by not watching the news (or much tv at all) these days.

Yes, it was somehow a news worthy story. Parents were interviewed, and it was also mentioned that they were due to appear live on a US news program that same day...

If I'd known a dancing baby would be so popular I would have put film of my son on there long ago.
He does this every time he hears some music.
Yesterday at his cousin's birthday party instead of playing pass the parcel he would dance around while the music was playing :D

And that shows why I think people who expects to replace a good movie with YouTube "entertainment" are just dreaming...

As much as I'm ashamed to admit it, my brother has it beat by almost 100k.

Edit: Never mind, the baby's over 1.1 million now :o
