Hi Guys

Had my car away getting panelbeated, and they disconnected the battery.

Since then when i arm, and disarm the alarm I no longer get the cherps.

What do i do to get them back? I cant find details on their website or in my manual

Any help appreciated.

You sure they didn't turn the siren off with the key?
My alarm siren has a key lock on top of the siren which turns it on or off.

I have checked that. I can set the alarm to panic, which the alarm siren works.

If your alarm is similar to my Dynatron, the chirping on arm/disarm etc was OFF by default on installation. The installer turned this on for me (About Sound in Christchurch). They did this (and other options available) by a sequence of codes using the key in the ignition and the remote but I have no idea what they are. Looked kinda complicated. Best option is to contact a dynatron agent and see if they can tell you. I also have a contact number here that was provided if you ever have to use a PIN Override Procedure (for the alarm and immobilisor if you loose your remotes etc.) of 0800 508 904 - may be worth a try. I have just found that thats where my car was fitted with the alarm too. It was done via the car dealer i purchased from.

Will call them tomorrow. :-)

doh! my dynatron alarm often activates a few seconds after arming.

It's an annoyance, but can't bothered getting it fixed. I suspect some intermittent short in the door circuit so I imagine it would be tricky to trace.

Just saw that your alarm siren still works in panic mode?
Try this:

Hold down both buttons, or hold one then the other, i can't remember the particular sequence, but it sounds as though your alarm is just in "coming home late, don't want to annoy the missus" mode :)

I know there's a particular sequence, it's either hold button one and hit button 2 1-2 times or hold button 2 and hit button 1 1-2 times. You might have to do it twice to get it out of "silent" mode
