Everyone I know drinks, And its really frustrating me. I really hate the taste and smell of alcohol but everyone else loves it. Why is that? Life seems to be revolving around drinking now
You hate the taste and smell of alcohols in general? Methanol, ethanol, isopropyl, etc?
Or you just hate the taste/small of booze? All booze? Beer, wine, RTDs, cosmo, manhatten, screwdriver. I haven't met a person that doesn't like a good appletini!
Also, why do you care if everyone drinks? How does that affect you and your life choices? Is it the peer pressure? Don't let it get to you. You'll probably find that not everybody loves it, they just pretend to to be popular. Don't drink if you don't want to. Instead play fun games at your drunken acquaintances' expense!
Thanks HiK1000716. and bazzer, its like, just the smell of it all. Really off putting but my friends just scull it back like theres no tomorrow. My Dad also loves it and almost every night has a few to many IMO. And my friends, its like they cant have fun when they aren't drinking. They make a fool of themselves which I have to agree is really funny. Esp. when we go through there outbox on their phones the next morning and read drunk txts. hhahah. But like, me and another mate can sit around for hours and just talk. Doesnt matter what its about, usually funny as hell stuff from like intermediate school (best days ever!). At a party once I tried to get one of them who drunk to much already to stop drinking more, he got really pissed off and raged at me. They have become obsessed and it seems like most of the school is like this too, and adults aren't any better. Why do a lot people think having fun has to involve drinking till you hurl?
they are just trying to be 'cool' personally i hate the taste... only person ive seen drink properly is my girlfriend. they taste all the different wines and stuff, no sculling
