i think if there was one thing that drives me more insane than anything else in history is when people don't remove the plastic film (AND STICKERS!) that are stuck to new electronics.

It sometimes gets so bad they leave it on until it's basically falling off.

I just want to triumphantly pell if off and watch as their mind explode with the possibility THAT IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE THERE.

Anyway, anything that gets on your nerves?

People turning right from the left side of the road and vice versa especially when you are behind them and want to turn the opposite way to them.
btw I would probably 'drive you up the wall' as I leave the plastic on till it peels off and I know its not suppose to be there :)

People are supposed to turn right from the left verge in an open road situation - they are supposed to wait until both ways are clear. IF the road traffic is light, then it doesn't really matter, but when there is a bit of traffic, it avoids logging trucks from shunting you all over the road.

And as for bits of plastic - I assume you mean the clear stuff that covers LCD displays on things like remotes and AV Receiver displays - I keep mine on for quite a few weeks. It avoids them being scratched while you are setting things up, and can return it without scratches should you need to. Also keeps kiddies grubby paw marks off it for at least a while to you can enjoy your new toy without sticky jam all over the display. Plus when you finally remove the film, it's just like having a brand new toy - all nice and shiny again - double the pleasure.
I think I need to get out more :-)

At least it's not as bad as those funny people who keep the plastic wrap on the lounges and car seats !!!!

the one thing i wish i had bull bars for , are the people that pull out of side streets right in front of you when you are the only car on the road , cant people wait for 2 -3 seconds till you pass them.

What grinds my gears... women who wear so much cosmetic junk that I can TASTE them when they walk past. Ick. Ladies, if I can still smell you ten minutes after you left the room, you have problems.

Haha so true.. now this is purely an observation but I think kiwi women in general wear far too much makeup.. I am referring to the women walking with 10 inches of whatever that sutff is they put over their whole face.. you can literally get a butter knife, scrape some off and spread it on some toast!

Don't get me wrong, guys aren't perfect either but I prefer women to not look like geisha...

Thats my 2cents!

Aotea traffic lights to the first Porirua off ramp. This is its own lane on the motorway, and a 100km/h zone. Yet MOST of the idiot drivers drive at 70-80 down there. This is a 1km lane, so its not like you are going 20m here.

Agreed!

Add to that teenage girls who cake on layers of that gunk in an attempt to look grown up - because you know by the time they're grown up, they'll spend their adult years trying to look like a teenager again.

What also grinds my gears is the lack of computer training some people get at my work. I had a sales rep ask me how to check a floppy disc: turns out it was a COMPACT disc and it was upside-down and she didn't even push the tray back in!

Not to mention the rude gestures they then give you, as if it's somehow your fault that you were passing the intersection. Take note black Ford Territory pulling out of St Michael's Cres in Kelburn last Friday!

Wellington drivers full stop and many of the companies down here that seem to just overcharge and be arrogant idiots.

As for stickers, I hate them, like the ones on laptops, I stripped them all off my EEEpc immediately including the windows COA which i carefully placed in a waxed paper in the CD casing.

Though I'll leave on certain films to avoid scratches until I can locate a proper mylar sheet, just no the ones that look dogearry

People who have signatures about 2 times bigger than their replies!

There's nothing more annoying than a single line reply then huge SpeedTest graphics in their signature. Why not make it a small text link, in the 1% chance the person reading that particular topic/thread cared about that posters speedtest results!

It doesn't apply to just this forum, though I'd love it if GZ introduced a "don't show signatures" option.

Also: Fox Terriers. Just shut up already.
