Are we going to see any new tv shows starting over the christmas/new years period or are they all going to be repeats?

Ok i just found out 1 new tv show called @seven on tv3 which is starting tomorrow:
http://www.tv3.co.nz/Default.aspx?TabId=958&showid=18607&listingID=1280569

What is this comedy show going to be about? Stand up comedy?

Are there any tv savvy people here that can tell me why tvnz has all these american shows available online when the iTunes new zealand store doesn't have these shows? How can i contact the american tv shows distributers and ask them if they could provide their shows in the iTunes nz store too?

I doubt there will be much in the way of decent programming over Christmas/new year on the networks... being the point that a) its summer and b) most people are outside or on holiday.

They tend to keep first run programmes until after the summer holidays when the majority of people are back on deck to watch them.
