Many useful websites dedicated to coding and useful technical or projects have all but hemorrhaged to the squatters like nu5eek, doma!nspon5or or are just lame paysites.
I just went to "http://www.rjam0r1m.com/rrw/" (changed some chars to avoid any possible traffic) which used to have a good collection of old audio codecs but it's also dead along with geocities which recently died like almost every other free web provider now.
I better quickly rip anything that's actually still left as my 2007 bookmarks are now more than 80% dead links, most simply being squatted to these crooks within only the past 6 months.
I have been trying to use the web archive to get many but the archive is obviously being hammered by people trying to look for the fave sites of times gone by and the poor internet archive is just not reposnding anymore.
I used to use something called Websnake many years ago to rip websites but what would be a modern alternative and preferably freeware or "lite and honestly priced" shareware/commercialware?
