Anyone used DSE online?

I purchased an External HDD on February 16th which was listed as in stock at the online store. I got notified that it was on backorder and that new stock would arrive on Feb 22nd. On Feb 22nd I was notified it would arrive on Feb 25th. Today I get notified that new stock would be in on March 12th.

The reason why I got this online is because they had a web only special going at the time.

Can't they just send me one/give me one from a store since they are listed as in stock there? I mean, it's a no brainer. I'm 5 minutes from a store.

I'm patient but I just don't want the status on March 12th to turn into March 26th

I know that there are a few DSE team members on Geekzone, maybe you can enlighten me?

If the product is not a web only special and the distribution center has not got any stock then they generally send that order to the nearest store/with the stock available store and get them to courier it to the customer.

I would expect the DC to also pass your order to your nearest store and get them to courier it out to you. Ring the DSE number and tell them that how your order is being delayed and store near you has stock available. Most prob DC would do what you are suggesting.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Does the store actually have stock that you have seen, or just saying so on the site?

Yeah I've seen the stock at the store

c71931f: Was it this external hdd?I remember dse having a web-only special for it sometime this year...If it is,they don't appear to have much stock

They said that I have to wait until the 12th (at least) and that they do not allow collection at stores nor ship any stock from there.

I guess I'll just have to wait

Most likely due to the fact that they have already got a web order.
