hey im thinking of moving to new york for a little while. just wondering what is the city like, the people and would or would you not live there if you had a opporturnit. just wanna get a good knowledge before i make my mind up.

It's big, it's busy, a lot of people, VERY expensive, public transport very efficient though. I wouldn't be looking at living there unless you have a pretty good job lined up BEFORE you go, or you have some pretty decent cash reserves to help you get set up and then get through.

Do a Google search for living in New York. I just checked and there's a few resources that are quite helpful.

Prices of almost everything there is amazingly high. Unless you're being paid exceptionally well you'll pronbably find a shoebox has more space than an average sized apartment.
