Why no South Island stores? Will they ever come to the South?

No, we need to form a posse here first. Smile

I'm sure they have plans to come here...? I'm quietly waiting for them to arrive in Christchurch.

In the meantime I'm lucky I get to travel to Auckland on a semi regular basis. Every time I'm there I walk away with a bag of DVDs from them, and they have some cool exclusives. Which is a shame really, considering they have just a few North Island stores.

Because if you have one, then every other town will want one ...

Besides why do you want one? The staff at the shops I've been to in Auckland couldn't organize a p!5S up in a brewery, let check if they have any ipods in stock.

Which ones have you been to? I've found the staff at Albany to be very helpful.

I was in the New Lynn store and overheard a staff member telling a guy who was looking at ipods that you can get free music via limewire and torrents. I thought it was bit odd especially as they sell CDs

A local radio station plays ads for their chat forums "WOMF" - Word of Mouth Forums

It consists of people making fake testimonials, implying that they are examples of discussions that happen on the WOMF forums.

One man asks "Where can I download free music from"

Which I thought was a little ironic.

Another gives praise for personal service at a local strip club/bar! Surprised

I wouldn't consider that a bad thing, they are wanting to know if they can assist you, its better this than not asking at all becuase some people have questions but refuse to ask for help.

Sounds like something Harvey Norman would do. I got asked about 3 times in 5 minutes by the same salesman if I wanted help, in HN's once. In the end I just walked out as I got sick of it.

Other times I have gone to ask for help and no one was around.

But still would like a JB Hifi or two in the South. One in Chch and one in Dunedin.
