And I mean physically smells, has anyone else noticed this?

The last 4-5 times I've been in, it's smelt like someone had crapped their pants.

I think it could be the buffing/polish used on the floor? It's so rank, I can't be in there more than 5 minutes otherwise I make stupid purchases to try get out...good excuse for the missus though:

"I went in to get a set of headphones, but it smelt so bad I walked over to the TV aisle and bought a new 26" TV for our room"

+1 to that.

I couldn't quite pin point what it reminded me of, but it is definitely pretty rank. Maybe something to do with the food places that surround it? Dunno.

Haha, yeah I did get the TV, good excuse too, but I can't handle the smell, think next time it's Harveys or LVs for any misc items

Personally I've never noticed it. I actually really like shopping there.

Noticed it there from day 1. I believe its the chipboard floor with whatever they have painted on top of it!

My wife has been complaining about the smell in that store since it opened. Personally I haven't found a problem with it.

Now any shoe store or The Warehouse... ugh.... Makes me nauseous.

I find that lighting is something that drives me out of stores more often then smells.

Countdown is the worst offender for excessively bright flickering metal halide fittings in the glenfield mall. Cant stand to go in there.

oh, there is vodafone gsm in there now, still no 3g, so pretty useless still...

Its the cheap metal halides they use that have mains flicker that do it for me.

In saying that I have massive issues with the smell in places that sell fruit. That part of the supermarket often makes me feel quite ill.

Cheap lights, that must be why the warehouse is normally the worst

Yes, when I first went in there last year, I almost gagged when I went in. It smells like someone has puked. It is an offensive smell. When I went in a few months ago, it still smelled, but not quite as bad. Don't know if it is costing them business, but it is not a pleasant environment.
