If you have a site with AdSense on it and wanted to know how much you are getting and how much Google are getting, they have recently annouced the figures here: http://www.webmasterworld.com/google_adsense/4137702.htm

I think 68% is a pretty reasonable rate in my opinion.

Actually revealed at their official blog http://adsense.blogspot.com/2010/05/adsense-revenue-share.html. I haven't been on WebmasterWorld for a couple of years now, I believe. I left it since I mainly visited the AdSense forum, and every day was just a stream of "My account was banned and I didn't do anything wrong" posts...

Back on topic, yes 68% share to publishers is not bad. Shame though that today's revenue is about 10% of what it was just two years ago - in my case at least. I blame on the increasing number of publishers, advertisers willing to pay less for clicks, Google changes in the ad formats (including where a click is counted or not) and other factors...

But if you check any other ad network, none get closer to give publishers that much.

It's great to get some transparency in what they're doing but it'll be interesting to see what the focus on Google's own cut does to the rest of the industry.

How will other networks deal with the pressure of this being a known figure when they're offering so much less and have displayed their lower figures for a long time?
